So I have been wearing a neck brace for the last few days, as if my self esteem wasn't bad enough! I won't be posting any pictures, because frankly, I look like Mimi from Drew Carey. I slept on the couch two Sunday's ago because our new dog was making so much noise in our room, and I woke up with just a sore neck. Nothing to be worried about. On Tuesday, I got out of bed and felt a shock go down both of my legs and the pain in my neck was so bad. It hurt to stand or sit down. I went to a chiropractor and it ended up hurting more than ever. I went to urgent care and they gave me a shot to help me relax and to help me at least sleep a little...didn't happen. So I went to a Dr. on Monday and he took one look at me and knew what it was. It's called Torticollis.
It starts with a pinched nerve from a slipped disc in the neck. It causes my head to lean to one side. They took x-rays and my neck doesn't have the natural "c" curve in it from the side view, instead, it curves to the left looking straight on.
I started physical therapy Tuesday, and go again today. Hopefully, it will take care of itself so I don't have to go under the knife!

We Got Our Home!

After waiting 8, almost 9 months on a short sale, we finally closed! I will post more pictures after we're done painting, unpacking, sorting, etc. I posted the picture that they had on the MLS listings, so it's not as clear as other pictures will be. So, this is my post for the year, maybe I'll get more up here next year. Yeah right.

Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam!!
Today I was called to teach the Sunbeam class. I don't know if our Heavenly Father has a sense of humor, or if I need to learn the value of patience. All I can say is that I'm scared to death! The boy behind us during sacrament meeting was realeased and as I was called to stand, he laughed and said, "good luck!!" Not what I wanted to hear! Hopefully, I will be able to keep their attention and teach them something....we'll see!

I know the pieces fit...
Last night, I got a call and the girl on the line said "I think you're my sister." I thought it was a joke until she started telling me things only my biological mother could know. We talked for about 20 minutes and then she called my biological mother and gave her my number! We talked and cried! It was amazing. I have two half sisters and one half brother.
I called my Mom and Dad and they were (of course) very supportive. My Mother has always helped me in my decision for me to find her. I will post more later, as soon as I get more information.
As for now...the pieces are coming together!
